Well, everybody is going to post about the exact same thing...college duh, so I am not going to do that. Okay, maybe i can't escape it. Here it goes.....
KU freakin' rocks. My classes are okay, but that's not what college is about. College is about learning outside the classroom. It's about learning how to bong a beer faster than anyone else and how to pass a cop in the dorm lobby without getting caught. Of course that's not what it's all about, but it certainly is a part. The food is pretty good here but the dining hall hours are weird.
Last night I attended an AAS meeting. That stands for American Astronautical Society. It was very fun, and although the first two letters of the club represent another organization, I haven't been to that yet. AA comes later in the year.
I would write more, but I'm starting to get bored, so I'm out. Oh yeah, if anybody wants to party, then give me a call and you may be able to come down. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Lata! Maybe I will have a picture blog for you sometime, but that time is not now.
Well, tonight was officially my last night in town before I head down to Kansas. The night was very eventful. It was very good seeing everybody. Well, almost everybody.
It really sucks when someone you consider one of your best friends turns out to be your worst one. You know, when someone apologizes for the same thing more than a couple times, you know the only thing coming out of their mouth is horse shit.
On the other side, I enjoyed everybody else's company. For the most part, the night was good and some quality goodbyes were said. It was almost ideal for a last night in town. Next time I see you all I will be huge. I guarantee it. That is unless you see me before xmas break! And yes, Tommy and Emily, I will carry around a personal mirror wherever I go.
Bon Voyage!
Damnit, sometimes you wish you could just stop time. They accomplished this in the movie clockstoppers, but in reality it is not possible. Sometimes you feel as though time is moving faster than you and you have to tell it to wait a second, so you can catch up. The unfortunate thing is that time does not slow down. Well, I have two more days here. And they are going to go by quickly i know. But whatever. I will miss you all (well most anyway), but I am going to start a whole new life which is very exciting. And like Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that.
In other news, tonight was cool. I jumped on a trampoline, played badminton, enjoyed the company of others and watched a movie. One thing I have to say is that trampolines should be made illegal. They are just too fun. I was seriously laughing joyfully like a little schoolgirl while jumping on the trampoline, and I couldn't contain the laughter. It was glorious. Alien versus predator was entertaining and I won't say much else so I don't ruin the movie.
I'm Ryan S, and you stay sexy combatrhino!
This morning around 6 o'clock i was forced out of bed and by 8 I was inside one of if not the biggest movie/television studio in the country. That's right, today I took a "VIP tour" of the Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank (North Los Angeles), California. For two and a half hours we drove a glorified golf cart around the studios touring all the different parts of the campus. Among the things I saw inside the gates were New York Street, the home to Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, the front of the Whitehouse used in "The West Wing", The Music Stand from the movie "The Music Man", one of the outdoor sets to Casablanca, the set to "Everybody Loves Raymond", the set to "ER", some filming in the distance of "Gilmore Girls" (we weren't allowed to get close while they were filming), the set to "Gilmore Girls", a lot of the Harry Potter props including Harry's Nimbus 2000, the Time Machine used in "The Time Machine", and Zachary Ty Bryan.
That's right, I saw Brad Taylor, the eldest son of Tim Taylor from "Home Improvement". Unfortunately I didn't see JTT, so I my vocal cords had to stay intact from lack of screaming, but it was pretty cool seeing somebody with such a well known face.
Well, it's only 5 days until I'm off to college. Okay okay, hold back the tears guys. Move in day is August 15, so when I come back tomorrow I will only have . Fortunately I don't have classes until the 19th, so I will have some time to settle in. The fact that I'm moving out hasn't really hit me yet, but I guess it will have to since it's happening so soon.
Well, that's pretty much it. The celeb count is 3. It is kind of modest, but it's better than nothing. I have seen Method Man, Oliver Platt (Emily spelled it wrong and owes the spotting to me!), and Zachary Ty Bryan. Well, I'm out for now. Maybe I will see another celeb at breakfast tomorrow morning when I go to Jerry's Deli.
Tah tah for now. See you all tomorrow!
