Upon reading the title, one might ask herself(that's right it's feminism bitch!), is this going to be a Rob style blog?
Well, to delve into this query, one must consider two possibilities: Rob is not a member of combatrhino anymore and someone needs to fill this void or Rob is not a member of combatrhino because his blogs were a) way too long b) included numerous pictures of his cats c) were illegible at times (hmmm?) and d) Rob is a swimmer.
Although the former option is a romanticized view of Rob's blogging abilities here on combatrhino, the realistic option is obviously the latter. Seeing that the space left by Rob quickly filled with emtiness (har har) there is no reason to dwell on this subject and this blog will therefore be a straightforward, look what we did tonight, blog.
Pictionary. Memorial Park. Enough said.
Soccer? At Westside you say? Yes!! After excursions at Memorial Park, a rogue group of the larger crowd made their way to Westside high school to play a night game of soccer after a neglectful soccer camp attendee left an errant soccer ball at Westside's all-purpose astro-turf field. Participating in the soccer game were Joel Beckham, Dave Spice, Rob-sheed Wallace, Jeff, and Moi (sorry Jeff my creativity waned after that immense burst), . Lots of fun and lots of broken toes. When you play soccer sans shoes your feet get hurt badly. When you play soccer without shirts you get pelted by soccer balls in the chest and ridiculed by sexually insecure high school males. But pain is a necessary evil to becoming a man and so is that sexually akward phase from 6th to 11th grade, therefore both mishaps may be forgiven.
Posted by ryan at June 15, 2005 02:27 AMthe bones in my kicking foot feel shattered. i cracked my big toe nail and my feet are stained black. those silly boners made fun of us but im sure its because karma blessed them with tiny wieners.
Posted by: joel at June 15, 2005 02:36 AMwow! look what you did last night!
haha just kidding...i can imagine how your feet look after the soccer jazz. nothing like a few good cracked and bleeding toenails to make you feel like a man.
joel, as usual, made me laugh.
Posted by: bone 1.0 at June 15, 2005 08:36 AMI would reccomend it being a regular thang
Posted by: Jeff at June 15, 2005 09:53 AMCan soccer be painful? ...gawlee...
Posted by: Christopholupagus at June 15, 2005 10:31 AMi liked that a lot, but only because nobody could play well and everyone had the same 3 moves of running really fast in one direction and then trying to stop and reverse. if we had people who knew how to play it wouldnt be as fun, although i like the idea (as discussed last night) of getting progressively better through self-taught experience.
Posted by: dave at June 15, 2005 10:41 AMoh, and the title made me laugh...
Posted by: bone 1.0 at June 15, 2005 11:24 AMi used to play soccer when i was younger.
well, im pretty sure 90% of kids used to play soccer when they were younger.
i miss it. you could play soccer in my backyard since i cant leave my house for a while. actually, you probably couldnt because its slanted with 30+ trees and a hammock but idk. its sssso lonely.
Posted by: jayme at June 15, 2005 12:00 PMI feel that Joel really missed his calling in life, he should have been a soccer superstar.
As far as me, if you read my last blog, it is on hiatus until further notice. So I am sort of a member, but its like I am lost in pergatory (sp) or something. And the only way to save me is to go on some sort of a quest to save my ambition and destroy king apathy. And take pictures of my kitties.
Posted by: Rob at June 15, 2005 06:31 PMi liked pictionary. too bad i wont be there to play anymore.
