blang flang!!

my dear it is cold at work!! but alas that is what you get when a city is making its way towards becoming a frozen tundra. there are some pretty ballsy new year's resolutions floating around (here's lookin at you, naimul) and i find that pretty exciting. also, this new infusion of blog vitality is pretty great too (tim) but it seems like wandy has been running quite smoothly and excitingly without my knowledge!! (should visit some more while at work instead of playing neopets but that's another embarrassing and sordid story). there will be blood was utterly and completely sold out last nite so that was totally wack but i went with my girl l.d. to see persepolis instead which totally beats out ratatouille for best animated film of the year. it is heartfelt, poignant, totally depressing and utterly awesome(ly animated). and i really liked ratatouille so, you know. is anyone interested in posting their own personal best of lists? true 2007 is now long gone (nearly 48 hours gone!) but i'd be totally into seeing what music people were rockin this past year or even most anticipated albums! balls out. luv, jason c Posted by iammetalmetal at January 2, 2008 5:24 PM

Most embarrassing moment: It's a long story, but basically I wet my pants. I'm 21!!!

Scariest: When that homeless guy followed me through the turnstyle from Dave & Monica's house one night.

Funnest: Staying on the army base and running at the same time as PT.

Best celebrity sighting: Mike Showalter at the Michael Ian Black Show filming. And seeing the last Stroke in a bodega.

Bestat: Jason's

We talkin best of films? Here's my 2007 list:

1. Ratatouille
2. No Country For Old Men
3. Children of Men (technically 2007!)
4. Zodiac
5. The Lives of Others
6. The Host
7. Sweeney Todd
8. I'm Not There
9. Superbad
10. Election/Triad Election

Honorable mentions: Once, Simpsons Movie, Black Book, Tekkon Kinkreet, Paprika, Darjeeling Limited

Planning to see this weekend: There Will Be Blood and Persepolis (sounds like I should buy my tickets in advance!), so those could conceivably o'ertake my list.

Still haven't seen: Eastern Promises (HOOK ME UP JASON) Syndromes and a Century, 4 Months 3 Days etc. (aka The Abortion Movie), King of Kong, Margot at the Wedding, Paranoid Park

I had the most extraordinary experience last year though, in that I saw a movie that leaped into my top 10 of ALL TIME, it affected me so. If you ever get a chance to watch Peter Watkin's Punishment Park, a pseudo-documentary about the government's imprisonment of activists, who force them to play a crazy survival game, do NOT pass it up. I can still remember just about every scene and line of dialogue nearly four months later.

Sweet, I made Joels list, Matthew Awesome part 1 is pretty awesome. How was super bad not the best movie of the year...ok, it's a comedy, they can't ever really be the best movie, I get it...I have given up on music so I don't have anything for you there, Mr. Chan, but I had a really shitty 2007, but I think that South Park this year was probably the best since like 2001.
