Without being overly melodramatic, I do intend this to be my final blog in a CR/Wandyteeth career that has been full of highlights (remember when I accidentally picked a fight with the emocore kids? And then a year or two later when I became one? Craziness!)
I don't intend to actually delete the blog, as it holds nostalgic and sometimes useful value. I'll be transferring my writing powers to two areas: my company's web project, for which I am lead scribe. Feel free to stop by when it launches, which looks to currently be somewhere between early/mid December and Q4 2008. The other area will be I Like Nice Things, Jeff and I's playground of the mind, which has been unfortunately neglected by myself. Hopefully some new essays and short films can find their way onto ILNT.
I also encourage everyone to keep writing on Wandy, as I'll stay a reader so long as it gets occasional updates. It's too bad that at the one critical juncture in most people's lives, where they figure out what to do with themselves, that's the point where the site begins to lag in writing, and not when everyone was liveblogging high school gatherings. Ah well.
NOW! Let's get down to some final bizness. Posting of hilarious professional pictures from the wedding.

Monica and I, with officiant/former boss/now lifelong buddy Chris standing above. It was noted that the whole ceremony (all 5 minutes of it), I was about 10 feet away from where I needed to stand. The woman in charge probably wanted me dead.

Bridesmaids and groomsmen and us forced to endure staged mayhem.

I have a real soft spot for select Photoshop filters. This includes random object colorization and klassy feathery fading edges.

I was the shortest of the groom's party by at least 4-6 inches.

Until I had to describe the concept to an old baking lady, I had no idea how hard it was to explain the subtle differences that separate a Mario mushroom from, say, something you find on your favorite Phish poster.
Finally, here is the wedding march we used, courtesy of The Cure's B-sides comp.
Monica and I will be heading to Omaha at the end of December for a few days, so if you are in the area, do stop by and say hello.
Best,
Dave
P.P.S. I am still alive.
P.P.S. Final thought: The cake is a lie.
