Nerd alert: Criterion's newsletter today not-so-cryptically hinted that they will be doing a superrrr edition of Godard's Breathless just in time for my birthday. I remembered the current disc, which is about five years old, being generally satisfactory, but then we watched some clips yesterday in the opening of my Asian New Waves class, and it looked pretty bad. Getting some clean up would certainly be a plus, although the cheapness of the film to begin with probably means only so much can (or should) be done.

In other news, Monica and I now have her two cats, Puck and Fluffy. They are both very sweet individually, but ever since they were stuck on a plane two weeks ago and forced to move here they constantly fight each other (despite the fact they are sisters and have lived together harmoniously for seven years). So now Monica and I get to police cat fights; especially myself, since I'm around the house usually during the day.

Anyway, I know there's at least one person who would enjoy some pictures of these two, so here you go. First up is Puck, from the perch on the desk where she likes to survey the rest of the territory:
