Election Day

When Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death, the first place I looked was to the local New York tabloids for the best headlines. Puns are a bit of a competition between the two, but I think with Sunday's announcement, both papers on Monday morning were equal winners:

New York Post: "Good Noose!" (complete with Photoshop image of Saddam's floating head in cartoon hanging noose)

New York Daily News: "Next Stop: HELL!"

I think Post went with the more subtle pun, but Daily News' audacity had me laughing in the aisles of a bodega for something around 20 seconds, hence they both win.

Also, I would just like to remind everyone that tomorrow is Election Day. And while some of you, including myself, may think that choosing between Ben Nelson and a Republican for Senator is a bit like picking between STDs, I say: remember that some STDs can kill you. Better just go with the slightly irritating rash, no?

You can blame it on Mike Foley.

(canned studio laughter)

I met Ben Nelson at a high priced Meet n' Greet. He is the king of shmooze. We speed dated for a little while, but when he went in for the kiss, I paid a high priced lobbyist to finish up.

You have no idea how much I am looking forward to the south park episode with Sadam's trial or his execution...because he is already DEAD!!!!!!! OMG!

I honestly think I like the first one better, I had to read it twice.

Are there any movies out there where say, a Hispanic gent disguises himself as an Asian to learn their ways? Let's discuss this over dinner. Bring Moniq'a; she can poison the water.
