i hate

My cubicle at work is right next to sales and so I hear a lot of irritating/moronic things. This happened yesterday:

Woman 1: Is The Pacifier out on DVD?

Woman 2: No, I think it comes out next week.

Woman 1: Oh...I really wanna see that.

Woman 2: So does my roommate. I'm not sure if I'm interested or not.

Woman 1: I just want to see it because of Vin Diesel...I think he's a good actor.

bring all the king's horses and all the king's men

If you have or haven't noticed, my pictures, music, etc. has been down for the last few days. My old domain name expired so I took the chance to purchase bonetastic!

My first real job in over two years has been going for almost a month now. I spend a lot of time sitting at a desk inside of a cubicle. It's not bad and pays decent, and I'll be happy to have money this fall.

I sold my old laptop and bought a new, smaller, lighter one. People who know me know I'm a bargain shopper...so I bought a refurbished model from Dell, ended up spending only $1200 on a $2100 machine.

This weekend I'm meeting up with Brinkman (new roommate) in Shickley for some guaranteed awesome times.

midwest aftermath

I'm really pissed I lost my digital camera. I just got back from Chicago and there were a ton of photo opportunities and I wasn't able to take advantage. So that kinda sucks.

The trip was an 11 on a fun scale of 10 though. Chicago welcomed me early Wednesday morning and I met up with Drew Burns, formerly of CombatRhino. Our time together was short, as he had to work, so I dropped my stuff off at his apartment and checked out a Cubs game. They won which pretty much could've made the trip in itself, but no, Motion City Soundtrack was to play that night. And they never disappoint, especially when playing for an hour and fifteen minutes.

Drew and I ended up chilling with a few of his friends in Chicago and wandering around downtown Chicago, Grant Park and Lake Michigan until something around three in the morning. We also were seen peeing in Buckingham Fountain by security but were much too cunning for them.

I spent most of the rest of the trip exploring Chicago with my iPod in hand. An awesome experience, just to be travelling alone, being able to run things at my own pace and have time to think and breathe. Thursday night was spent at a concert followed by crashing hard at Rachel Katzman's apartment.

The Get Up Kids rocked Chicago pretty hard too.

Drew has a great story that he might write a blog about here...it's worth telling, but would be hella cool if there were a way to extract audio clips from voicemail, but I don't think it's possible. Perhaps you'll hear/see it in the near future.
