i want something else

I forgot my digital camera most of the places I went this weekend which is kinda sad. But I'm over it and you should be too. But I've still got a few fun things I'm going to put up.

Here's a picture of Elmhurst College right outside of Chicago. The campus is hella-nice and I want to go there. It will cost money though.

Another picture of the campus.

While in Des Moines, Boobs and I spotted this store named "Best Place Ever." They did have a good DVD and CD selection, but it wasn't the best place ever.

This chair was in the Best Place Ever. I don't know who Frank is, but I want to visit his House of Rock.

my kind of town

I'm going to Chicago tomorrow to do some college shaz that should be fun. Then off to Des Moines for an interview thing at Drake. Boobs will be there too. Westside partay! Expect some digi-camera fun from the entire experience.

Anyways. I haven't gone out past 11:30 the past few months because I love to sleep. But I don't really care now. So if you wanna party Saturday, just holla.

School of Rock comes out on DVD next Tuesday. Some people say it's "not a classic" and therefore not worth the purchase. I think though that the entire scene where he's explaning his own song about The Legend of the Rent is priceless.

not here, not now

It looks like the man above is looking to once again screw the Democratic party out of the Oval Office. He ruined it for Gore in 2000 and looks to do it again by running as an independent. Looks like it's four more for Bush-43. Crud.

New song. It's got the saddest lyrics I've heard in a long while.

I had some laser tag fun went on tonight. Of course my team won, because I'm the undisputed laser tag master.

singing lines from all our favorite songs

I've sat here at work for the last six hours or so and done little to no work. We ran out of outbound calls to make, so now it's just a matter of sitting here waiting for 7 p.m. to roll around.

This spring/summer is bringing a lot of cool shows to the Midwest and the Bone 1.0 and 2.0 are hitting as many up as possible. Already planning to see Motion City Soundtrack on 3/5, Suicide Machines on 3/25, Coheed and Cambria w/ Funeral for a Friend on 4/4 in Minneapolis, Less Than Jake is rumored to be hitting the Midwest in April and Warped is in July. More to come I'm sure...

If you've been living in a cave the last week or two, you've missed my excitement about the upcoming baseball season. Two words, three syllables: Greg Maddux.

it doesn't take much these days

High-larious day today.

Lauren Taylor: Wait...what?! Mr. Graff, what are you doing?
Alex Sutherland: Math. This is a math class.

Mr. Bock: I'll assume the following people are fantasies: Mike Hunt...

Ryan Shaffer: How does Michael Jackson know when the paperboy is coming? His eyes roll back in his head and he moans. (Joel also gets credit for this joke.)

New song in the sidetitle. It's by Catch 22, I saw them in concert last year and of course, they rawk.

take a ride in the sky

OK, I thought I wrote one of my best blogs ever and I'm still at the Karl S level of comments. Depressing. Anyways...for those of you that didn't know, and I know you exist, the last blog was a work of fiction.

My last question was never answered...

How many of the "college girls" are really in college?

Anyone who has ever played a video game take note, I stumbled onto a really sweet site. It has virtually every video game song for every console ever created. http://www.vgmusic.com

I was playing around with Photoshop and added my new supremo-emo picture to the sidebar. It's not the best, but I like it better than my old one.

somewhere in between, i threw myself away

Being "sick" again, I decided I ought to share with you my ultra-fun day that all you school foolios missed out on. Enjoy!

My cousin Zach also happened to be out of school today, so I spent the morning with him. We spent some time downtown and ran across this hilarious statue. Zach! You're crazy!

Zach and I later met up with his dad (my uncle) Ethan at his office.

After meeting up with him, my uncle took us to a juggling expo they were holding in the basement of Swanson Library. I couldn’t figure out why they all had beards though…or how my uncle knew about Juggle-Fest ’04…

All this bearded juggling made us hungry, so we headed out for some Chinese food. I think we were the only non-Chinese people there...

We stayed past the lunch hour (which I guess is the time Asians love to drink). Things got a little crazy...I won't get into specifics, but let's just say sweet and sour wasn't the only sauce on my rice!

Good times. Good times indeed.

it ends with me

I'm home sick. There's nothing I hate more than being sick. I just feel like an unproductive pile. Not to say that I'm not normally, but at least I don't feel like it all the time.

How many of the "college girls" are actually in college?

The headlining article in Newsweek is really well-written and rather interesting. Def. worth your time.

This is the list of bands playing at Warped in KC. Rock.

until my feet are bleeding

Check it out, biznatch.

I need to read an entire book tonight and complete discussion/note type stuff. I'm taking the easy way out for the first time in my high school career.

Valentines Day is Saturday. What a crappy Hallmark holiday. Honestly, it just provides a momentary boost for the restaurant, greeting card and chocolate industries. I'll probably be supporting at least one of those industries.

The new song on the left is sweet/not screaming so download it and expand your musical library.

February 8, 2004

is a lie just the truth?

Jeff MC, Classen and I got nearly 200 potato oles from Taco Johns in Des Moines. I can't remember if we ate them or not.

My blog has become a concert annoucement forum as of late, but there is a lot of cool news I feel indulged to share. Coheed and Cambria announced that they're doing a spring tour w/ Funeral for a Friend. Both are kick-ass bands worthy of seeing.

February 3, 2004

shiver away

Oh man. Motion City Soundtrack will be here March 5th. Rock the heck on.

February 2, 2004

good god, damn

If I have the college thing secured with scholarships, should I even care about school anymore? Because I've got a lot of homework that isn't done and I'm not motivated to do it.

I haven't shaved in three days and it's looking mighty dirty. Maybe I won't shave for another three days. Dirrrty.

Who saw that Janet Jackson thing last night on the Super Bowl? Holy cow.

February 1, 2004

i break the glass, i break it down

It's snowing. A lot. It's worthless if we don't get out of school.

Suicide Machines concert on March 25th. Woo-hoo, it's been awhile since a decent band has hit Omaha.

The new G5 is pretty cool, a lot quicker than our old machine. The all-in-one SuperDrive (DVD/CD burner) is probably the sweetest feature.

Jimmy Carter is takin' on some crazies.
