burn baby burn

So there was this rocking chair that needed to be disposed of. My uncle says "Hey, let's burn it." I think, "Great idea, we'll do it tonight." Turns out we didn't get back from the music thing until like 1 due to some kickin' frisbee. Anyways, this chair doesn't want to burn at all, something about fire-resistant paint. So I hop in the car, drive a couple of blocks to the Sioux Falls 24-hour Hy-Vee and picked up some lighter fluid, got back and poured it on the fire. It was awesome.

My uncle came out later, after awaking from slumber and was a little upset that he missed the amazing pyrotechnic display. Luckily my brother was able to cheer him up with his admirable talent of farting on command. We sat and laughed as my brother ripped them for a good half-hour. Hilariousness.

We went to 2 thift stores yesterday and I picked up a couple of garments. One is a rockstar jacket that will prove useful come volleyball season.

Boobs and my brother played a lot of Super Nintendo. It was disappointing that I didn't get to join them due to my driving responsibilities.

I'm going to see Remedy again tonight in Omaha because there is nothing better to do in Omaha. Should be a good time though.

August 30, 2003

sioux fallin'

Got here in 2.5 hours, quite the trip. Last night we were able to catch Names w/o Numbers, a sweet band from Omaha. Chatted with Paul Zach during this show, it was good to see him again. Following that we went and saw my uncle play, and then it was on to Sonicflood. They were ultra-rockin'.

Today, we're just hanging out. Husker game is on at 2:30 which should be interesting. Newsboys play tonight followed by Remedy. Rawkness.

August 28, 2003

don't call it a comeback

Mile repeat average: 5:34. I think I can call today successful no matter what happens in the next 3 or so hours.

Pep-rally tonight. I'm wearing some ridiculous clothing, but I know it's going to drive the ladies wild. Heh.

August 27, 2003

don't stop believin'

Oh man, Tim Halperin played that song while I was in the choir room today. It was awesome and it caused me to listen to it several times on the ride home. "Somewhere in the niiiiiight...."

I lost my Geisert 8 Band shirt. I'm so pissed, it was my favorite shirt and I just got it last week.

It's still really hot outside, but I hear it's supposed to cool down for our weekend in Sioux Falls.

Mile repeats are tomorrow, they're now my favorite workout. I'll be trying to work my average down...

Since I finished comp and it's not even 7:45 yet, I think I'm going to head to bed and rest. I've earned it.

August 26, 2003

two blogs...one day...

This is worthy of posting. Wesley Willis died. This man was freaking awesome...no more rockin' songs from him

Show choir was ultra cool. I'm feeling good because I am not standing around in the front row looking like a moron since I learned most of the medley dance.

Mr. Johnson washed my Geisert 8 Band shirt and brought it to rehearsal. I forgot it though. Crud.

Ran afterwards w/ the show choir gang. Maiefski was out there training for something. It was good to run with an old 4 x 400 buddy.

Bed.

me oh my

Today was a decent day...tomorrow should rock like no other. Two words: Chinese Wednesday. I went to bed early last night and tried to get out of my cruddy mood. It sorta worked, but not really. Listening to the mix Belfi made me on the ride home put me in a good mood, as good a mood one can be in when they've got show choir for another two hours tonight.

In response to the Ghostbusters questions put in my comments section, either one is fine with me. I like the first one because of the whole creation of their business. I like the second one because Rick Moranis becomes a Ghostbuster which leads to some funny moments.

I came home for lunch today. It was suhweet because I made myself lunch and was free to do whatever I wanted. It was like a sick day except for the part where I had to go to school. So maybe it wasn't so much like a sick day...but fun nonetheless.

August 25, 2003

summer in the city

It's so hot outside. I felt like I was going to die during our 500 repeat workout for cross country. God needs to seriously tone down the temperature, it's outta control.

I'm in a terrible mood lately. Actually, I think it's just tonight. I want to collapse, but I have homework and it can't go undone.

If I had Ghostbusters on DVD I would watch it now.

ain't nobody does it better

I got my tire fixed last night. I'm not a very mechanical person, I'm not really good w/ cars or fixing things. I did know enough to get my tire off my car and take it to get it patched and put it back on. By the end of the ordeal though I was covered in grease and shaz from lugging the damn tire all over town. Ehh.

Went to Maggie Moo's with Amy last night. She informed me that it was the third night in a row she had visited Maggie Moos. That's quite a streak if you ask me. They have this new ice cream, it's called Better Batter and it tastes like cake batter. Mmmm.

August 24, 2003

the remedy is the experience

I still stand by my fact that I hate show choir retreat. But we are going to rock the show choir world like it has never been rocked. Louder Than Words is ultra-tight and has pretty easy choreography, so it's good for me. The Remedy, which I thought would be terrible because it's a pop song is awesome. We got our kick-ass show band playing it and now it's got a funky ska-feel to it. The icing on the cake is that I get to dance w/ Boobs' sister. Oh man. But I don't know our closing number and I'm in the front row. Bad news if you ask me...

I got up and ran 4 miles on Saturday and Sunday, both days on 4 hours of sleep. I'm so proud of my morning initiative.

Some ass put a nail in my tire while I was gone.

Homework time.

August 22, 2003

sing and dance

Boobs, Grigsby and I went running at 6:45 this morning. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but the early hour activity has left me somewhat fatigued.

I went over to Boobs' and showered, ate breakfast and all that jazz after running. We were really pressed for time and for the first time in my high school career, I had to skip homeroom. I feel like I've tarnished my perfect attendance record. Ehh.

I'm thinking I shouldn't have left all this packing until the last minute.

Stamos definitely admitted defeat today in Discrete Math. So I shaved at 10:45 and now I look clean again.

Send me an e-mail, drop me a comment, do something to send me some encouragement for when I return. I'm going to need it because when I return on Sunday, I'm probably going to be in a bad mood.

August 21, 2003

aww snap

Mile repeats, I kicked your ass. Yes, I did burn off a 5:30 for my first one, a little too fast if you ask me. I did kick the next three right at 5:40 though. After this rockin' workout, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

I dropped AP Comp and now I'm just in regular comp. The AP mod was just a lot of busy work. Now I have a 3.5 hour period open tomorrow. What to do with my vast amount of time? Perhaps I'll sleep...

I am declaring myself the winner of the Stamos-Bone Dirty Beard Contest. I clearly have more of a beard than him. I think I'll shave now.

Candy war tomorrow night. I've got 8 pounds of Jolly Ranchers to rock the newcomers' shit. Muwahaha!

August 20, 2003

out of sight

Another day, another blog.

It's hella hot outside. Like a freaking oven. While running I could feel myself baking all the way up Pacific Street. Tomorrow for Cross Country we're running mile repeats. It's the day where the men are separated from the boys. Golly gee, I'm excited.

When I was getting my physical the other day the doctor said that my vision was bad and I need to get it checked out. I don't want to get glasses because I think I'm gonna look mega-retarded. Blah.

Show choir in something like 2 days now. It's gonna get ugly.

So I had this ultra cool blog title, but I guess Erik thinks it's uncool or something. I've gotta change it back to Bryant B. I don't like the whole last initial thing. It's stupid, I think I'm not going to do it. I suppose I'll have to if another Bryant joins the site but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

Calculus and Discrete Math are incredibly easy classes. The only class that has posed a problem this year is Composition. Why you ask? It's just a bunch of busy work. I hate busy work with the fierce and burning rage of one-thousand suns.

August 19, 2003

from the coolest girl i know

Shizzy shazzy that show was jazzy. Geisert 8 rocked harder than expected which was cool. I stayed out of the pit most of the time. While standing on the side though, Koch ran into me and ripped part of my toenail off. Ouch McGrouch. The bleeding and stuff does look kinda hardcore though. Geisert closed w/ Outlet though, one of my faves. "I don't take requests!" Hell yeah.

Hmm...homework to do, but my bro has the car with my shaz in it. Tomorrow morning will be homework mania.

I probably oughta go clean my toenail up, but I'm waiting for Rob to get online so I can talk to him about my shaz that I left in his car.

Gone for now.

August 18, 2003

yet i'm enthused by you

I completely pulled an Amy Belfi yesterday. Or any other number of high schoolers probably, but something unique and exciting for me. I slept until 12:30. Holy crap it was awesome. I didin't go to church for the first time in a long time. I think it was worth it though.

I sat around and did nothing all afternoon/evening, except for a little bit of homwork here and there, but nothing incredibly taxing or difficult.

My grandmother came by around 7 and dropped off 3 boxes of random shaz she got for free at Oriental Trading Company. These boxes are gold, pure gold. They're full of crazy stuff we can use come volleyball season. We still need to go buy those ace cards though.

I have to go get my physical today. I hate that whole "turn your head and cough" thing. I do need it to run I suppose...

Geisert 8 Band. 14.5 hours from now. Oh man, it's gonna rock.

August 17, 2003

i live each day like it's gonna be my last one

So the concert ended up rocking again. We were w/out Skipper but Rob Moore, Bennett, McAtee and others picked up the slack and rocked it hard. Highlight of the night might've been the slow-motion mosh pit. It reminded me a lot of Ace Ventura where he's in the mental hospital pretending to be an old football player. Ultra-funny.

On Friday I heard the same pointless and heartless conversation several dozen times:

Person 1: Hey, how are you?
Person 2: Good. You?
Person 1: Good, thanks for asking. How was your summer?
Person 2: It was...good. Yours?
Person 1: Pretty good.
Person 1: Alright, see you around.

Is it really necessary to have that type of discussion? Person 1 nor Person 2 cares how the other person is or how their summer went. A waste of air if you ask me...

I've got jack to do tomorrow (actually since it's like 1 in the morning, today) except for French and Calc homework which should take me only an hour or so. Sounds like a lazy Sunday to me. Someone comment and make me happy.

August 16, 2003

i ain't no saint dear but it always brings me down

So my boys got in trouble last night after I met them. Something about the police. It's hard to explain. No, I don't associate with criminals, it's just a few innocent boys who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. J-Sizzy made a site all about it. I'm actually featured on there for one picture. Check it out: http://members.cox.net/jeffsisson/crazy/crazy.html

Anyways. Went running. I got mega-sideaches and ran a lot worse than I've run in a while. I actually ran faster in practice on Wednesday and Thursday than I did today, as I ran at 6:30-6:45 pace those two days and only like 7 minute pace today. Blah. I need to not eat mexican food the day before a race.

I'm going to the GTO concert tonight, as discussed previously. I am still looking for people to roll with Skip and I. It's gonna be good as always plus I'll be able to warm up for Monday's rocking Geisert 8 Band performance. I want to see everyone I know there, let's give some support to Jeff MC's brother's band from Peoria. They rock like no other.

I'm tired from this morning, I might go take a nap.

i do recall those were the best times

Friday is the best day God or any of the scheduling foolios at school could have created. I had a Tom Carman party in the morning, some Discrete Math w/ Peterson which is always fun followed by French. I am not a huge fan of foreign language, especially French but it remained a small bump in my otherwise awesome day.

I went and cheated the parking system during my open mods. I ended up getting a pass at Countryside as well as the high school (which isn't supposed to happen). Take that you parking pass jerks, I'm the one laughing now!

After AP Comp Large Group, which was entertaining to say the least I headed back over to the church where Mommy was. I went to lunch with her, Dave (our new youth director), Steve Kinkead, Julie Wilson and Jil Barton. We ended up at a restaurant @ 24th and L. It was here I discovered that Steve Kinkead is by far one of the funniest people I've ever met in my life and he is a genuinely good person. What a neat guy. Anyways, our new youth director seems mega-cool, I"m excited for activities with him in the fall. As you can imagine, 24 and L is a long long way from the school so my mother called into the attendance office saying I had an "appointment." It's all good though because I got to miss choir. Nothing against choir, it's generally an alright class, but it consists of sitting and singing which isn't terribly exciting. At least not as exciting as Steve Kinkead. So I returned to school to kick it John Graff style in Calculus.

Had a dinner at Spaghetti Works tonight w/ the XC gang. A lot of us are running tomorrow morning in Atlantic, IA which will be a blast I'm sure.

Picked up Amy after XC dinner. We rolled over to Maggie Moos to meet some people who were leaving soon for college. Also saw Skip and the gang. They wanted to go to Target and we didn't want to go to Target so Belfi and I rolled onto places undecided. Joel called about 10 minutes later. He and Erik and Jeff were hanging out at Regency so we rolled there for a few minutes and Amy met a few members of the CombatRhino crew. After a few minutes of chatting it up and whatnot we rolled onto more places undecided at the time. I took her home around 10 and here I sit now.

GTO concert tomorrow night...Old Market. You interested? Let me know. I'll be there w/ Skip and hopefully you, the loyal reader. Rock.

August 14, 2003

gather my insufficiencies and place them in your hands

The real first day of school wasn't as bad as expected. My economics class is sweet as Ricky Anderson, Krajeski and McAtee are in it. I'm so pumped, it's gonna be a Tom Carman partay!

Only one complaint today and it's regarding Composition. These teachers have decided that a 3-ring binder is the best way to organize things. I am not a fan of this system but instead of let me do my own thing, they're going to force this organizational system upon me. It sucks. I figure I'll survive but I'm not happy about it.

There are 505 kids in the freshman class this year. So many kids...when I started at WHS 3 years ago, there were 1600 kids. Now there are over 1900, it's ridiculous.

I ran incredibly hard today, good training for Saturday though. We took a 4 mile course in 26 minutes. It was suhweet because I felt like a badass when I was done.

I'm taking two math classes right now, neither of them seem to require any serious effort as of yet. The assignments are mega-easy, let's hope that doesn't change.

I'm out. I've got to work on some Composition. Homework, I'm shaking my fist at you.

i don't care where we're going as long as you're around

So today is the real first day of school. Yesterday was more of a pick up your schedule and yearbook day. Today is the real depressing day since I've got to be there from 8-3:10. Funky butt-lovin'.

For this senior class Morgan and I had to go around and videotape freshmen on their first day so they can see what jerks they are when they watch the video in 3 years.

I don't have anything else.

August 13, 2003

there's got to be a way out of here

School starts in 2 hours. Son of a...

Last night Boobs and I met up w/ Krisitin and Amy. We sat around and really did nothing except bitch about the start of school. Depressing. After I dropped the two of them off we headed over to Taco Bell and took it to Jerkshire's. I hadn't seen him in at least a month so I was happy. After hanging out in his basement, essentially doing nothing while eating food I decided to take Boobs home. We had an impromptu end-of-the-summer dance party in his driveway while my car blasted C & C Music Factory's "Everybody Dance Now." We were moving and grooving, even Beth, Boobs' sister joined in on the fun.

Damn school.

August 12, 2003

it's not the colors that matter

Yesterday was everything I dreamed summer should be. Work and other things kept summer from being what it should have been, but I think one day made up for it.

Woke up at 8 to run and got to hang out with the cross country crowd I missed so much due to my afternoon running. I then sat around at did nothing for the next 4 hours or so until frisbee at 1. Quite a few people showed up for this impromptu game, played for a solid two hours. Came home after that, went shopping and then headed to show choir which wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be. I got to sit next to Tim Halperin, one of the sophomores in ATSC and this kid is money in the bank. He's one of the funniest kids I've met and I'm glad he's in the show choir. The vocal arrangement of The Remedy is a little weird at times, but is vocally tight at others and sounds cool. Louder Than Words, the opener is a sweet song as well which ends in 7 parts. Suhweetness. We're gonna kick ass vocally this year, we'll see about dancing though...

Anyways...after show choir met up with Amy for a while and headed to Zorinsky. It was a beautiful evening w/out any clouds in the sky and a full moon with the temperature hovering right around 65 degrees. A serene ending to the day.

Senior pictures are today. I hope they make me look as sexy as I really am. Haha, only kidding...

I am laughing at the Xanga community, as the server has been down several times in the last few days. Blog superiority is here at CombatRhino!

What's going on tonight? Who's doing something? It's really the last night before school, I probably out to get out of the house.

August 11, 2003

i won't take no for an answer

Our church service went off w/out any trouble. Afterwards, the majority of the team headed to Garden Cafe for breakfast/lunch. Here I accomplished an amazing feat of modern eating. I had lots of bacon, eggs, four pieces of toast and 5 pieces of french toast. There were people betting I couldn't eat it all. I showed the doubters.

I sat around and did nothing all afternoon in my typical Sunday afternoon style.

Went to Angelo's w/ the family for dinner but I didn't eat anything, I was still reeling from my huge meal earlier. I got home from that and sat around for a while. Went to Maggie Moos at 9 to meet up w/ Joel who is back from Michigan. My ice cream was free because I had punched my card so many times.

The big countdown is on...2 more days before school. I'm going to go non-stop between now and Wednesday morning and forget all my worries and concerns. It will rock. In fact, there is a game of frisbee planned for this afternoon @ WHS.

Show choir starts tonight, from 7-9. Is there not a better time to do this? It's taking a huge chunk out of my entire evening...

August 10, 2003

hey bonecrusher

GTO @ the Ranch Bowl was freakin' sweet. The first two bands that played were decent, but the last two kicked. Anything But Joey played some sweet ass pop-punk that the whole crowd got into. Bone 2.0 got on stage and played some funky beats w/ their drummer. Rock on. GTO hit the stage around 11 and it didn't stop rockin' until 12:15. Unfortunately, when leaving the house around 3 for work I didn't plan on concert attire, so I ended up moshing in flip-flops. It was cool though, because my sandals were off the majority of the time and now my feet are hella-dirty and cool lookin'. There were some douches who were standing around mad that Rob Moore, Woodford, two Bones and others were moshing. I figure if you want to stand and see a rock band, you need to stand in the back where the other wimps are. Only one true complaint about the entire concert though...Skip was absent for Esta Vida, he had to leave for some reason. It's our song, he should've been there. No matter. Concert rocked.

ADDITION: Rob Moore wants his sweet stage dive mentioned. It actually was a sweet dive, but there was no one there to catch him.

I have to sing my trio thing w/ Jeff MC and Koch tomorrow. It's a shame I am up at
1:30 having spent the last 3 hours screaming and singing at the top of my lungs. I'm drinking water...so much water.

I had some ultra-beard growth from not shaving for three days. I just shaved it and it feels nice. Mmmm...smoooooth skin.

I leave you this evening, actually morning with a quote from Curtis Grubb of GTO:

"Music is one of the most spiritual things in our lives. It's why we're playing and it's why you're here." Rawk!

August 9, 2003

look in the mirror my friend

I am sitting at work looking to fill up time while giving off the appearance that I'm working. What better way than blog?

Ran this morning. It was decent.

Went to church for Mission Sunday rehearsal. Nothing special there, since I'm not doing anything meaningful in the service for the first time in two years. Jeff MC, Koch and I are singing our quartet turned trio number, but the other two weren't present so no rehearsing took place.

Bone 2.0, Skip, Woodford and I went to lunch afterwards. Bone 2.0 hit Arby's up while Skip, Woodford and I went to HyVee for their delicious Chinese food. It just so happened that the WHS Varsity Cheerleaders were having a car wash at this same HyVee. We ended up moving a bench from the other side of HyVee to where the cheerleaders were washing cars and ate our food. All to watch scantily clad girls wash Skip's car. All the while I'm sitting there uttering comments like "We're really fucked up" and "This is incredibly sick."

Frisbee was next on the agenda. It was a sad day for Saturday frisbee because I haven't lost a game of frisbee since I started playing on Saturdays, but today my team perished. Eh, there are worse things in life.

One of those things was my realization that this fall will consist of cross country, show choir and not a whole lot more than that. This deserves an emoticon:

GTO in 30 minutes. I'm gonna rock off the blog.

won't you take me to funkytown?

I've heard from a few people this summer that they were getting tired of doing nothing. I worked a solid 40 (if not more) hours per week this summer. I'm here to tell you that once you have a job, nothingness seems like the most beautiful thing ever created. There have been many times when waking up at 6:30 in the morning I have desired to just lay in bed for hours on end. The good news is I'm done working my day job this summer. The bad news is I still have my telehealth job on Saturdays and Wednesday and Thursday evenings. And there are only 4 days left of summer.

The family I mannied (the term for male nanny, in case you're curious) for gave me a gift certificate to Galyans as a thank you gift. I hadn't been there before so decided to hit it up yesterday. It's freakin' huge.

Played Putt Putt w/ the Wigton, Boobs, Jenn and Amy this evening. It was Amy's last night to go out this summer...sad. Wigton is moving to Lincoln soon. That's sad too.

GTO concert is tonight. Should rock. Who else is going?

August 8, 2003

happy birth to the d-a-y

Mad props to Maggie Johnson and her creation of that rap. It was Amy's b-day today, along w/ Erica's.

The birthday get-together was mega-cool. Amy just got her license, but wasn't allowed to drive at night due to strict parentals. No problem though, Skip's BMW was her vehicle of choice on this fine evening. She and I rolled on down to Hy-Vee to grab some pop for the partay happening at Connor's. Crazy good time.

I lost Farkle.

Lindsey Persigehl, Mr. Persighel of WHS fame's daughter is one funny girl. She essentially made fun of people who quote songs with cheezy love lyrics by making the comment that they need to take that "fucking Care-Bears shit out of there." You people know who you are. End the madness.

The Cubs just overtook the Cards for second in the NL Central. 1.5 games back from the 'Stros and their old title of division leader. Go Cubbies.

I got a recruiting letter from a university regarding running cross country and track. Weird.

August 7, 2003

celebrate we will cause life is short but sweet

I love 1980's television. Miami Vice and the A-Team are two rockin' shows. Miami Vice more than the A-Team just because it's more plausible than an undefeatable military squad led by George Peppard. If there were a fight though, Mr. T alone would beat the shit out of Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas.

I didn't run today because of serious hip pain. I'll hit it tomorrow though, no worries.

I'm working on compiling a list of the Top 20 Badasses of all-time. Send your suggestions to bryant10185@cox.net

I'm going to bed.

August 6, 2003

sell out with me tonight

Kristin and I went shopping for Amy's b-day this morning. It took less time than planned, which was good because the search for my gift required a whole lot of driving.

I went to get a haircut at 11:30. Nothing exciting.

Boobs came to lunch w/ my Mom and two other Bones. Boobs and I then proceeded to do nothing of importance for the next 4 hours or so. I did buy a DMB cd, Live at Folsolm Field. It's pretty rockin' because Dave doesn't sing very much, it's drawn out jam sessions featuring some sweet-ass bass by Stefan Lessard and intense drumming by the one and only Carter Beauford.

The night began by playing Farkle, a completely original game created by Kristin Swanson. She may have created it, but she and Boobs were getting dominated by Amy and I.

Next off, I have finally failed in my R-rated sneaking. I've gotten many people under the age of 17 into R-rated movies before. So many times I can't even count. I always figured my skills at this were top notch considering we got Maggie Johnson, who looks like she is 10 years old into Matrix Reloaded. A large failure though due to ID-woman at the door. She was nice though, unlike the rest of the AMC staff that evening. First off, this dick-face wouldn't let me buy a student ticket because I didn't have my ID. He was an asshole about it. It wouldn't have matter so much if he was somewhat nice but he was just a balding 20 year old man who more than likely lives in his parents basement who really could care less about the 2 buck price difference except for the fact he's on an AMC staff-member power trip. The other thing that pissed me off was paying 3.25 for a pop and 2.50 for Milk Duds for a movie we couldn't see. And having to buy them from that retainer kid...

While leaving the theater we spotted a couple of Millard West hooligans, I think their names were Brad and Trent (someone who was there tell me if I'm right). They were also unable to accomplish there R-movie goal. We chatted for a while and they seemed to be pretty cool dudes, but after a while we went our separate ways.

I then got behind the wheel of my car and drove all the way down to South Omaha. We stopped at a grocery store at 24th and L and picked up some beverages. While there I had an intense need to use the restroom, so Boob's whipped out 5 years of Westside's Spanish education and found out where the bathrooms were at. I think it was more of a storage area than a bathroom though, as I sat next to a floor scrubber and set of construction lights.

The trek was made all the way to the other side of town to the New Rocket Park which had been previously discovered by others. All though everyone we contacted couldn't tell us where it was really, we found it. It's a worthy replacement for the old rocket. It started to storm when we got there and it was hella-cool. Rain and lightning are the shaz.

I have to work 14 hours today. Mothertrucker...

August 5, 2003

wake me up inside

I've got nothing important to talk about, but feel a commitment to write in the blog nonetheless.

I'm going to be all over Omaha tomorrow, with no free time until around 12:30 or 1. I will be doing things I enjoy though, it's not like I'm working or anything.

I ran with Jared Annin today. What a funny kid.

I watched Daredevil today. It's probably my second favorite, if not favorite comic book film to come out thus far.

Seinfeld is on right now and it's the episode where Kramer stores all his blood at his house instead of the blood bank. Ha ha ha ha.

August 4, 2003

i've sworn a million times i never want to be left again with that feelin'

Today was a day of no activity. At least less activity than normal. During this inactivity I spent a few minutes pondering where I'm at right now and realized I have roughly a week left of summer.

It's been a wonderful summer thus far, filled with unforgettable trips, experiences and people. There is a lingering feeling however that I haven't done all I've wanted to do. I've still got a week to take care of any remaining business.

I bought a new suit today. This cost a lot of money. But it's really good looking and so am I. We're a perfect match. Ha.

I took a four hour nap in the afternoon and I'm having trouble recovering. I don't think I'll be sleeping much tonight but I'll certainly try.

Shitballs. I am not looking forward to show choir retreat. It's gonna be hot as hell with people screaming while we sing and dance non-stop for 3 days. Hell on earth...

August 3, 2003

workin' at the car wash

Running this morning was sweet. I'm working my way back up to double digits in distance after my short Miami break. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll be there.

Car wash was cool, for the first hour or so. After that a bunch of kids left to screw around leaving about 4 people to wash, rinse as well as dry a neverending line of cars. It sucked because I was one of the 4 stuck doing work. Plus a lot of ATSC wasn't there which was disappointing.

Went to work, and the no-work craze is spreading. One of my co-workers and I sat and watched Homestar Runner cartoons for about an hour.

Went out with Amy and some others this evening. Amy had to be home early, but after dropping her off we went to crash some kids drinking party. Unfortunately, he didn't have a party for us to crash, so we called him on the phone. No answer, but he called back 5 minutes later. I answered and he thought I was someone else and hilarity ensued.

I'm gonna go rock it Jesus style at church.

everybody dance now

Last night was party central. Boobs and I ran and then went to Little King for some dinner. While at Little King, we noticed they were having some big Yu-Gi-Oh tournament or something. It was real weird. Following that was quite a bit of driving around with nothing to do. Iain called at 8:30 and we met up with him. We checked out Krispy Kreme, as Kochanowicz is the manager there now and we got some free key lime donuts. They were surprisingly delicious. Party moved on out to West O as we chilled with Krisitin Swanson.

After I run this morning, I'm going clothes shopping for senior pictures which are next week. This wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't have a ton of other crap going on today. I'll survive.

Frisbee is at 1, although I'm not sure how many people are going to be there. Jeff MC is out of town and a lot of people will be working at the ATSC car wash.

I'm at work from 3-8 today. My job is sitting in front of a computer for 5 hours. Get on AIM or send me an e-mail. Please, break my boredom.

Rock out.
