1-800-BETS-OFF

Last night I checked out the Council Bluffs casino scene for the first time. Let me just say that the two casinos we went to were probably the saddest places I've ever seen. Most of the people there fit into two groups: old people who had lost the will to live and were willing to throw everything they had at a slot machine, and the NASCAR crowd who, by the number of mullets I saw, were still big Billy Ray Cyrus fans. Really freakin' depressing. Anyway, JT, DR, and AP and I hit the blackjack tables since it's the only game where you've got a fighting chance. We all fared pretty well (except for AP), and I even ended up making $35 (on the $30 I played). Lessons learned: go to the casinos infrequently, play with very little money and leave when you're on top.

i went to cb casino once and ate pizza annd that was it. because i'm underage. i didn't have very much fun though. and the nascar crowd was very visible.

dude, that imagery kind of makes me want to go even more. i just read a short essay by tom wolfe called 'las vegas, what! las vegas, louder i can't hear you! las vegas!' that is pretty cool. kinda like fear and loathing but diff enough to be awesome. ball!
