stuck between stations
I've decided I need to start reading more blogs on this site and commenting more. I think part of the reason I don't write much is that I expect people to comment, and I can't expect people to comment if I don't do the same.
Pitchfork usually pisses me off, but for some reason I checked out their Top 100 Tracks of 2006 and was turned on by the Hold Steady's Stuck Between Stations (it's #11 on the list). I've known of the bands existence for quite some time and only now listened to them. Their album Boys and Girls in America is ridiculously awesome.
Comments
Comments are great! Pitchfork is sometimes wrong but it has helped me find new music sometimes.

i just don't see how EVERYONE likes justin that much. you can't even hear his voice, he sounds like a robot. and the only good lyrical parts are when he isn't singing. and while it's SOMEWHAT dancey. it lacks some beats.

zovirax rox!
so does the hold steady, although they are getting so close to slickly produced sing-along choruses and further from their drunken ranting that i do worry about their next album.

I like Long Jon Silvers...
Man, I hate pretty much everything I have heard on the radio, it all sounds the same, fake indie psuedoemo crap. Muse got shafted on that list by not being on it.
