sell out with me tonight
Kristin and I went shopping for Amy's b-day this morning. It took less time than planned, which was good because the search for my gift required a whole lot of driving.
I went to get a haircut at 11:30. Nothing exciting.
Boobs came to lunch w/ my Mom and two other Bones. Boobs and I then proceeded to do nothing of importance for the next 4 hours or so. I did buy a DMB cd, Live at Folsolm Field. It's pretty rockin' because Dave doesn't sing very much, it's drawn out jam sessions featuring some sweet-ass bass by Stefan Lessard and intense drumming by the one and only Carter Beauford.
The night began by playing Farkle, a completely original game created by Kristin Swanson. She may have created it, but she and Boobs were getting dominated by Amy and I.
Next off, I have finally failed in my R-rated sneaking. I've gotten many people under the age of 17 into R-rated movies before. So many times I can't even count. I always figured my skills at this were top notch considering we got Maggie Johnson, who looks like she is 10 years old into Matrix Reloaded. A large failure though due to ID-woman at the door. She was nice though, unlike the rest of the AMC staff that evening. First off, this dick-face wouldn't let me buy a student ticket because I didn't have my ID. He was an asshole about it. It wouldn't have matter so much if he was somewhat nice but he was just a balding 20 year old man who more than likely lives in his parents basement who really could care less about the 2 buck price difference except for the fact he's on an AMC staff-member power trip. The other thing that pissed me off was paying 3.25 for a pop and 2.50 for Milk Duds for a movie we couldn't see. And having to buy them from that retainer kid...
While leaving the theater we spotted a couple of Millard West hooligans, I think their names were Brad and Trent (someone who was there tell me if I'm right). They were also unable to accomplish there R-movie goal. We chatted for a while and they seemed to be pretty cool dudes, but after a while we went our separate ways.
I then got behind the wheel of my car and drove all the way down to South Omaha. We stopped at a grocery store at 24th and L and picked up some beverages. While there I had an intense need to use the restroom, so Boob's whipped out 5 years of Westside's Spanish education and found out where the bathrooms were at. I think it was more of a storage area than a bathroom though, as I sat next to a floor scrubber and set of construction lights.
The trek was made all the way to the other side of town to the New Rocket Park which had been previously discovered by others. All though everyone we contacted couldn't tell us where it was really, we found it. It's a worthy replacement for the old rocket. It started to storm when we got there and it was hella-cool. Rain and lightning are the shaz.
I have to work 14 hours today. Mothertrucker...
